Delete your NeuroLog account.
You can request permanent deletion of your account and associated NeuroLog data. Uninstalling the app does not delete an account.
1. How to request deletion
If your app version includes account controls, open NeuroLog and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Review the consequences, confirm your identity and submit the request.
If that option is not available, email contact@neurologapp.com from the email address associated with your account using the subject “Delete my NeuroLog account”. Do not include passwords, study codes or health details.
We will verify that you control the account before deletion. If you cannot access the registered email, contact us and we will explain an alternative verification process.
2. Information deleted
Subject to the exceptions below, deleting an account removes or permanently de-identifies:
- your account profile and authentication relationship;
- self-reported events, symptoms, mood, medication information and notes;
- wearable and device-health data held for your NeuroLog account;
- connected-provider credentials and active sync connections;
- personal settings and reminders; and
- supporting identifiers that link this information to your account.
Deleting NeuroLog does not delete your Apple or Google account. You may separately review or revoke NeuroLog's sign-in access in that provider's account settings.
Disconnecting Apple Health, Health Connect or another provider is different from deleting a NeuroLog account. Disconnecting stops future sync from that source but does not automatically delete previously imported information.
3. Information that may be retained
We may retain limited information where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, regulatory or record-keeping obligations. Protected backups may contain copies until they are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.
Aggregated or permanently de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you is not account data and may be retained.
4. If you joined a study
Deleting your NeuroLog account and withdrawing from a study are separate actions. Contact the study team using the details in your participant information to withdraw or ask how its records are handled.
An approved protocol, consent or law may require a study institution to retain information already collected, particularly information already used in an analysis or needed to protect research integrity. The study team must explain the rules that apply to that study. Account deletion will stop new information being added through NeuroLog after the deletion is completed.
5. Timing and loss of access
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a legal or study-specific issue requires longer. We will tell you if additional time or limited retention is required.
Deletion is permanent. After completion, you will lose access to your NeuroLog history and connected data. Export anything you need before confirming deletion.
